Local Activities and Interests
Ucluelet’s location out here in the Pacific Rim affords its visitors a multitude of exciting outdoor adventures. The Pacific Rim National Park Reserve sandwiches Ucluelet with its many surf swept beaches, amazing old growth forest, cultural history and marine life. The Long Beach component of the Park and its 50 km of sand beaches, rugged rocky outcrops and famous 11 km long Long Beach is located just north of Ucluelet. To the south of Ucluelet is located another component of the Park called Broken Group Islands. This is a collection of over 100 unspoiled islands located in beautiful Barkley Sound and is accessible only by boat. This area is a marine playground for kayakers, scuba divers and marine naturalists.
